Hands-on : Day - 2 (Saturday)

Instructions :

Participants are requested to bring the following mounted extracted teeth Three Upper & Lateral Anterior/Three Canine/Three Premolar/Four Molars without any cavity preparation.

Kindly mount all teeth in arch form.

Participants will be provided individually with Micromotor & Contrangle /Air rotor HP, Hu Friedy or LM Arte Composite instruments, Matrix & Band, Wedge System, Etchant, New generation Bonding agent,3M Composite material, Tints, Brushes, Loupe, Finishing & Polishing tools

  1. Hands-on on Posterior Composite restoration
  2. Understanding Anatomy of Posterior teeth
  3. Posterior Composite Restoration Cl I & ll
  4. Selection of Matrix Band, Wedge & Ring for Tight contact When to perform Total & Selective, Self Etch Precise Clinical application of Bonding
  5. Precise Clinical application of Bonding
  6. Selection of Posterior Composite Instrument for Composite layering that will help to sculp anatomy without any occlusal adjustment.
  7. Understanding color selection of Composite from dentin till enamel layer for precise color matching
  8. Volume control of composite for Layering concept
  9. Learn how to sculp missing anatomy with use of brush & minimal composite instrument to create transition of composite into natural anatomy without any occlusal adjustment.
  10. Centripetal technique to build proximal wall build up.
  11. Tips for Light Cure for successful polymerization of Composite.
  12. New role of adding Tints from dentin to enamel will create seam less transition of composite into natural color with minimal shades of composite.

  2. Cavity preparation design for Cl IV Composite Restoration
  3. Self & Total & No etch concept.
  4. Precise protocol for clinical application of new generation of bonding
  5. Putty Index technique for Incisal edge & Palatal wall build up.
  6. Creating tight contact with Mylar & Wedge
  7. Selection of Composite instrument for layering
  8. Proximal wall & Incisal edge build layering concept
  9. Selection of Composite for Dentin & Enamel to create ‘Life like’ restoration.
  10. Learn seamless transition of composite into natural tooth without any white lines with precise finishing & Polishing tools for long term longevity.

Time : 11:30 - 04:30 :
Revision of Cl II, III, IV, V Composite restoration to be performed by participants independently under mentor supervision till becomes confident to implement in day to practice.
